How long you have to renew
ICP allows a 30-day window from the expiry date to renew an Emirates ID. After that, a daily late fine applies up to a capped maximum. Renewing inside the window avoids the fine completely.
Checking status with ICP or UAE Pass
You can check application status and validity through the ICP smart services portal or the UAE Pass app using your Emirates ID number (the 784-format number) or application number. For residents, the Emirates ID normally expires with the residence visa.
